Associated Packaging Technologies (APT) is North America’s largest manufacturer of crystallized polyethylene terepthalate containers for frozen food. APT contacted Roberts Onsite to assist with its plant relocation and building upgrade.
Electrically we designed and installed all main power, equipment drops, lighting, general convenience devices, fire alarm and voice & data structured cabling. Mechanically, we designed and installed sprinkler protection, water and air services, washrooms and site services.
Our millwrighting and rigging division disassembled, packaged, loaded and transported each APT piece of equipment from the old facility to the new one across town. Each piece was unloaded, unwrapped, installed, electrically and mechanically connected and commissioned.
A detailed schedule was assembled prior to the move; this allowed Roberts Onsite to relocate equipment and lines without interruption to the plants manufacturing process. The project was completed without incident and to the owner’s satisfaction.
