Roberts Onsite has been a long standing partner with the University of Waterloo, championing the university’s growth and expansion efforts over the years. Our mechanical team was subcontracted by Melloul-Blamey Construction to complete the plumbing and HVAC portion of UW’s new Innovation Arena.
For this project, our team is providing mechanical expertise for plumbing systems and washroom construction, glycol cooling plumbing for building comfort, heating piping and equipment for building comfort, and a new mechanical room and equipment, including:
- 5 boilers
- 2 rooftop chillers
- 1 makeup air unit
- 1 Enthalpy Recovery Unit (ERV)
- 1 Rooftop Unit (RTU)
- 2 air handling units
- 19 system pumps
- 92 fan coil units
- 1 lab waste glass piping system, including acid neutralizing system
- 10 force flow heating units
- 2 unit heaters
- 1 heat exchanger
- 11 reheat coils
- 1 commercial water softener skid package
- 3 commercial sized large domestic hot water heaters
- 2 smaller hot water heaters
- 9 air conditioning split systems & 4 condenser units
- 3 air curtains
- 7 radiant ceiling panels
- 4 expansion tanks
Roberts Onsite’s mechanical team is also responsible for managing subtrades for insulation, HVAC/sheet metal, and controls.
