Roberts Onsite was contracted to perform electrical upgrades to the waste water treatment facility for the city of Orillia. This project was completed with the cooperation of Hira Limited General Contractors and KMK Consultants. We were required to supply and install all electrical services for the building addition, new dewatering system and upgrades to the existing facility. The first phase required the installation of new lighting, power outlets and fire alarm system to the building addition. Next we installed a larger Motor Control Center that would supply enough power for the additional dewatering system equipment. This MCC gave us the ability to redirect all existing electrical feeds, such as VFD drives, sensors, pumps, motors and associated controls. The last phase was to install an automatic SCADA system. This required the installation of conduit and wiring throughout the facility tying the MCC and control panels together with the main SCADA control panel. This system allows the owner the option to view and control any part of the operation from a remote or local location.
