Roberts Onsite was contracted by TEMA to remove and install 6 robots for the clear coat B paint booth. This project is a continuation of Clear Coat A but with a shorter time line. The project required coordination with production, hour by hour job safety analysis, a detailed schedule including milestone shutdown dates and continuous updates to TMMC. The first challenge not unlike that of clear coat A was pull ahead work without disruption to production. Roberts Onsite was able to work outside the paint booth during regular hours as long as no dust was created or hot work performed. During scheduled off production hours all hot work and major installs were performed. The significant part of this first install was the testing of the new robots. Roberts Onsite installed 2 new robots on the line in addition to the existing 6 robots currently being used. Once tested and commissioned 2 of the old robots were decommissioned but remained on the line pending any performance problems from the new robots. Similar to clear coat A Roberts Onsite was required to pick a holiday weekend for the major removal and install. Due to the success of clear coat A the completion date was taken into account, instead of 2 days Roberts Onsite was required to duplicate our 1 day install. This project was completed on schedule, budget and to the customers complete satisfaction.
