Roberts Onsite was contracted to perform this project in conjunction with J&B Engineering Inc. Due to the nature and critical timeframe of this project, the work was separated into three phases. The first phase required the existing 7-section 5KV switchboard to be split; half was removed and replaced with a new 3 cell section. Two of the four 5KV – 1200HP pumps were reconnected to the new cells. The second phase required the removal of the remaining original 4 cell section and tie switch, which was replaced with a new section and switch. The remaining 2 5KV – 1200HP pumps were connected. During the first two phases, all controls were redirected from the old cells to the new cells, then back to the existing SCADA panel. The final phase required an additional 6 cell MCC to be installed for future services.
