Roberts Onsite was contracted by Melloul- Blamey to perform the mechanical work on two new office buildings for RIM. We simultaneously supplied and installed all of the mechanical systems and BAS for two 160,000 sq ft office buildings and two 170,000 sq ft parkades. Interior fit outs included a Data Center and cafeteria to compliment training rooms and general office space. Our HVAC department installed an advanced cooling system to keep the data centre at a constant temperature. This project was LEED Certified and had a few notable energy saving systems. The outside runoff water was collected in a cistern for irrigation use. VFD’s were installed on variable flow systems to minimize energy use. Coils were installed on various heat/cool systems, used to preheat or cool air prior to use in the air make up units. High efficiency hot water heaters were used as well as a boiler heated snow melt system for the entrance and exit points in the parkades. This project required extensive project management skills due to the numerous changes throughout the project. Roberts Onsite successfully completed all work to the customer’s satisfaction.
