Lear Canada a division of Lear Seating Corporation of Michigan was a heavy stamping facility supplying parts to the automotive markets in Ontario. After the plant’s unfortunate closure Roberts Onsite, a long time supplier of maintenance and construction services, was hired to re-locate several robotic assembly lines to new facilities in Mexico. Roberts Onsite was responsible for the complete isolation, dismantling, tagging and packaging of the line for shipping. Having the intimate knowledge of this equipment Roberts Onsite was also contracted to provide electrical and millwrighting oversight at the new facilities in Mexico. Our supervisors guided the local labor forces through the reassembly and installation of the lines from unloading through to commissioning. This unique experience provided another example of Roberts Onsite’s ability to reach outside our borders to provide turnkey solutions for our customers.
