Roberts Onsite completed this project alongside The Walter Fedy Partnership. We were asked by the customer to build a heat recovery system that would recover their Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) exhaust heat. The system consisted of two heat exchangers, one which recovered hot air from the RTO exhaust, the other, to heat process hot water. This process is achieved by 2 separate closed loop piping systems filled with glycol. The heat recovery system consisted of the installation of various pumps, piping, duct work, and associated electrical power and controls. Most work was completed during regular production hours with all major tie-ins and commissioning occurring during scheduled shut downs.
