With average annual daily traffic reported to be almost 10,000 vehicles per day, the City of St. Thomas decided to install traffic signals at the intersection of Elm Street and Peach Tree Boulevard.
Roberts Onsite Inc. completed all aspects of the brand new traffic signalized intersection.
We completed the underground trenching and conduit installation required for the new intersection. We poured the pole bases, stood the owner supplied poles, and installed the arms and signal heads for the intersection. Two street light poles were raised and installed as well.
Our electricians installed the new pedestal-mount power supply and facilitated the concrete pouring for the base for the owner-supplied traffic cabinet. Following ESA approval, we coordinated with the local distribution utility to connect the intersection, and completed the required commissioning.
We facilitated the line painting, installation of the new sidewalk complete with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) –compliant textile plating at the crosswalk entrance. To complete the installation, we installed parking and directional signage.
